8 Track's history began 30 years ago in Shreveport, LA. Playing a variety of songs from the 70's & 80's filling the dance floor.

Joey Raborn ~
Lead Vocals
Joey joined his first band in 1981 at 17 yrs old. He has been playing locally and regionally ever since.

He enjoys doing a wide range of songs covering several genres of music!
​
Joey joined 8-Track in 1998 taking over the reins as the front man and began booking venues in 2000 with plans to keep this project going for many years to come.
​
When he is not playing music, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his wife, Sabrina, & family and racing his many dirt bikes.

Derrick Dexter Mathis~

Dexter began playing guitar at 6 yrs old. He started playing professionally at the age of 17. He later began playing with different bands in nightclubs and private parties.
​
He has played with many professional groups such as Jerry & Tammy Sullivan, a gospel bluegrass group. His first show with them was at the Rymond auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.
​
He has performed on the same stage with Ricky Skaggs, Marty Stewart, and many others.
​
​Dexter comes from music royalty as his father was one of the members of the NewBeats from the 1960's with hit songs like "Bread and Butter", "Run Baby Run", and "Break Away From That Boy".
​
Dexter joined 8-Track in 2007.
​
When he isn't playing music, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Debbie, & family; Writing & composing music; and engineering music in his own studio for local & professional artists. He can also be found playing music in his church band.
Billy began playing the Bass Guitar when he was 15 years old and began playing professionally at 16.
​
Over the years, he has had the opportunity to play with many great musicians including BB King, Bo Diddley, Jeff Healey and Kenny Wayne Shepherd as well as many many great local musicians.
​
Billy joined 8-Track in 2025.
​
When he isn't playing music, Billy enjoys traveling, spending time with his wife, Kellie, & grandbabies, as well as supporting Live music/concerts.
